About "Aaj Ki Raath" from DON.
| Hi SEL,|
The first thing I did when I listened to this song was to ensure that its not a remix of a old one. Because the song had a style of composition which was present only in the 70s and 80s.
Really a gem of a composition.
Do tell me ur reactions when u finished its composition.
I am really proud of u guys.
Looking fwd to more such magical tunes in future too.

Aaj Ki Raath
| hi there thanks so much for your post !!! we were sitting around in the studio trying to figure out what direction this " item " song should go in. then farhan thought lets go retro / modern so to say !! we jammed and came up with this and there are little elements of music styles that we lsitened to in the late 70 ' s and 80's incorporated in the song. its strange how the song takes on the feel of the film ' a retro story presented in a modern style '. we had to retain 2 songs from the original film and present those also in modern style but i prefer to call them versions as opposed to remixes :)||12 Sep 2006 13:04|
Aaj Ki Raat
| Aaj Ki Raat is definitely my favorite.|
I listened for the "twang" guitar after you mentioned it in one of your posts. It's not in all the "antaras", but it sounds really cool whereever it is, just wish it was way more prominent than it is.
If only there was a version with just that retro guitar, drums and bass.
A college "cover band" will try it surely :)
